Efficient API Integration for Direct Control

By leveraging the Home Assistant API, Haptique® establishes a direct connection with the Home Assistant server over websocket. This integration empowers users to control various smart devices from lighting and thermostats to security systems instantly and effectively. This setup process involves securely connecting the Haptique® to the Home Assistant instance, ensuring that only authorized devices can interact with the home automation ecosystem.

Haptique® Connection with Home Assistant

1. Connection Setup
   • Open the Haptique® Config App : Launch the app and navigate to the Device Pool section.
   • Add a New Device : Click on "Add Device" to start adding a new device.
   • Choose Home Assistant : Select the Home Assistant icon from the available options to proceed with the setup.
2. Authenticate the connection
   • Enter Home Assistant Details : You'll need to input the Home Assistant URL and an access token. Double-check both the URL and the token for accuracy before proceeding.
   • Submit the information : After entering the details, click on the submit button to establish the connection.
3. Device Selection
   • Select Device : Once the connection is successfully established, a new screen will appear showing the option to select Device from Home Assistant. Click this button to see the list of devices from Home Assistant.
   • Choose Your Device : Select the desired device and then hit the Save Device button.
4. Device Pool Confirmation
   • Confirm Saved Device : The selected device will now appear in the Device Pool of the Haptique® Config app, ready for further control and automation. This straightforward setup procedure guarantees a reliable connection, allowing Haptique® to communicate effectively with your Home Assistant setup.
