Follow the steps below to successfully connect and control your Spotify account through the Haptique Config App.

🔧 Prerequisites

• Your mobile device (running Haptique Config App) must be connected to the Internet.
• You need a Spotify account (Premium recommended for full playback control).
• You must create a Spotify Application to get a Client ID and Client Secret (instructions below).

🛠 Step-by-Step Integration

1. Open Device Pool

• Launch the Haptique Config App on your mobile device.
• Tap on the Device Pool tab from the main screen.

2. Add a New Device

• Tap the "+" (Plus) icon on the Device Pool screen.
• Scroll to find the Spotify section.
• Tap the "+" (Plus) icon next to the Spotify label.

3. Add Spotify Account

• In the Spotify section, tap the "+ Add Account" button at the top right.
• You will see fields to enter Client ID and Client Secret (how to get these is explained below).
• After entering the Client ID and Client Secret, press Submit.
• You will be redirected to the Spotify login page — log in using your Spotify credentials (ID and password).
• After successful login, press Go Back.
• Your Spotify account will now appear in the Device Pool and is ready to control!

🔑 How to Create a Spotify Application (For Credentials)

Haptique needs application credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) to communicate securely with Spotify.

 Follow these steps to create them:

1. Log in to the Spotify Developer Dashboard.
2. Click Create an App (top right corner).
3. Enter any App Name and Description (can be anything).
4. Set the Redirect URI to:   https://app.cantatacs.com/app/integration/spotify/auth/webhook  (Important: Copy this exactly. Do not modify it.)
5. Select Web API access.
6. Agree to the Developer Terms and click Save.
7. After the app is created:
8. You will be auto-directed to the Basic Information tab.
9. Click the View Client Secret button to reveal your secret key.

You now have your:

• Client ID
• Client Secret

Use these two values inside the Haptique Config App to complete the Spotify integration.

✅ Device Added Successfully

Once the Spotify account is added:

• You will see it listed in the Device Pool.
• You can browse playlists, control playback (play, pause, next, previous), and view the current status from Haptique.
• If you have a Premium Spotify account, you can control playback fully; free accounts allow browsing and status view only.

⚠️ Troubleshooting

• Make sure your mobile device is connected to the Internet.
• Verify that the Redirect URI is entered correctly when creating the Spotify app.
• Ensure your Spotify account credentials are correct.
• Use a Premium account if you want full playback controls (recommended).
