Setting up Yamaha AVR Integration on Haptique RS90

Follow these steps to connect your Yamaha AVR to the Haptique Config App via IP control for streamlined room control and automation.

1 Prerequisites

Before you begin, confirm the following:

  • Your Yamaha AVR and the phone running the Haptique Config App are on the same Wi‑Fi network.
  • Your Yamaha AVR supports network (IP) control and it is enabled in the AVR settings (see your Yamaha user manual under Network Control or similar).

2 Open Device Pool

  1. Launch the Haptique Config App on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the Device Pool tab from the main screen.

3 Add a New Device

  1. Tap the “+” icon in the Device Pool screen.
  2. Scroll to the YAMAHA section.
  3. Tap the “+” icon next to the YAMAHA label.

4 Auto‑Discover Your Yamaha AVR

  1. Tap Connect to start automatic discovery of Yamaha AVR devices on your network.
  2. Wait a few seconds while the scan completes.
  3. When your AVR appears in the list, tap it.
  4. Optionally rename the device.
  5. Tap Save to add it to your Device Pool.

5 Troubleshooting Auto‑Discovery

If your Yamaha AVR does not appear during auto‑discovery, try the following:

  1. Verify Network Connection
    • Ensure both the AVR and your phone are on the same Wi‑Fi network.
    • Restart your AVR, router, and phone if needed.
  2. Add Device Manually
    • After auto‑discovery fails, tap Add Manually.
    • On your AVR, find its IP Address in the Network Settings.
    • Enter this IP address into the manual entry field in the app.
    • Assign a Device Name and tap Submit.
Device Added Successfully

Your Yamaha AVR will now be listed in the Device Pool of the Haptique Config App. You can configure, control, and customize it according to your needs.

Next Steps

  • Assign the AVR to a room from the Room tab for quick access.
  • Create macros to combine Yamaha commands with other devices.
