Yamaha AVR Integration
Updated 28 Apr, 2025IntegrationsFollow the steps below to successfully integrate your Yamaha AVR with the Haptique Config App.
🔧 Prerequisites
Before you begin, please ensure the following:
- Your Yamaha AVR and the mobile device running the Haptique Config App are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Your Yamaha AVR supports network control (IP Control) and this feature is enabled in the AVR settings (check your Yamaha user manual under "Network Control" or similar).
🛠 Step-by-Step Integration
1. Open Device Pool
- Launch the Haptique Config App on your mobile device.
- Tap on the Device Pool tab from the main screen.
2. Add a New Device
- Tap the “+” (Plus) icon in the Device Pool screen.
- Scroll to find the YAMAHA section.
- Tap the “+” (Plus) icon next to the YAMAHA label.
3. Auto Discover Your Yamaha AVR
- Tap Connect to begin automatic discovery of Yamaha AVR devices on your network.
- Wait a few seconds while the app scans for available devices.
- When your Yamaha AVR appears in the list, tap on it.
- You may rename the device (optional).
- Tap Save to add it to your Device Pool.
⚠️ Troubleshooting Auto-Discovery
If your Yamaha AVR does not appear during auto-discovery:
✅ Step 1: Verify Network Connection
- Ensure both devices (AVR and phone) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Restart your AVR, router, and phone if needed.
✅ Step 2: Add Device Manually
- After the auto-discovery fails, an “Add Manually” button will appear — tap on it.
- On your AVR, find its IP Address from its Network Settings menu.
- Enter this IP address into the manual entry field in the app.
- Assign a Device Name and tap Submit.
✅ Device Added Successfully
Your Yamaha AVR will now be listed in the Device Pool of the Haptique Config App. You can now configure, control, and customize it according to your needs.
